Let Them Tell You No
Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want. The worst thing that can happen is that someone tells you no which his not half as bad as your self-imposed limitations. I learned very early in my sales role that the best people heard no 80% of the time. Top performing sales executives, who earn high six figure salaries, hear yes a mere 20% of the time. Once you get over the sting of a No, you learn that the conversation begins at the obstacle; it’s not an end point. If you’re not hearing no often, then you’re not being bold enough in your ask.
